This novel happens to be Stephen Kings first published book and for a first novel it's pretty good. The plot is about these articles and stuff about this girl named Carrie White who is a innocent young Teenage girl who is bullied immensely both at school and at home by her mother Margret White. One day the bullies at school bully her after she has a period and thinks shes dying so a gym teacher comes in and bans all the bullies from going to the school prom. One of the girls really doesnt like this and makes a plan to humiliate Carrie in front of the whole school. What she doesnt know though is that Carrie has psychic powers where she can move objects and her powers are getting stronger and stronger. Overall it's a good book but there are some problems. The problems are rather then seeing it from a normal point of view you see it through articles and stuff and you never get a clear look into Carrie's mind. But the last 100 pages are amazingly brutal and is an excellent end. There happens to be 3 adaptations Carrie 1974 which has a sequel called The Rage Carrie 2 then there is Carrie 2002 which was supposed to be a pilot for a TV series but the show never happened then there was the big budget Carrie 2013. Overall i do suggest you read the novel it is the best beginner king could have ever done for his career.
