This is the movie that got me into stephen king cause when this came out I always knew stephen king as a horror author but when I saw the trailer one there was no horror two it looked so god damn cool three it was based on a epic book series which is hailed as stephen kings magnum opus. The plot is that a kid named Jake chambers is having dreams about a dark tower and a gunslinger who is going after a wizard the man in black also known as Walter o'dim and he sees that Walter is using kids to destroy the tower which brings balance to universe keeping the evilest creatures away. He knows this is real cause when a laser hits the tower a earthquake goes on in his world earth. So he has to escape from the skins werewolves in disguise and go to mid world to team up with roland the last gunslinger and stop the man in black. The movie is pretty enjoyable it's not super good but there is enjoyment. If you look at it as a adaptation you will be very disappointed it takes some elements from the series but really it's not a adaptation.
