I still remember watching the movie adaptation and seeing how horrific it is so after I watched the movie I went and did a little research on clive Barker and saw that this book is what the movie was based on and he made the movie as well. So I go to buy this book and start reading it probably took me only 2 days to finish. The book is about a guy named Frank who opens a puzzle box called the lemarchands configuration and he gets taken to hell by these demons only known as the cenobites. So it skips a long while later on the woman who loved him named Julia who married Frank's brother rory but she really wants Frank. One day rory cuts his arm on a nail which the blood goes on the floor only to be sucked clean. So one day Julia comes in the room only to discover frank has returned from the dead and the only way to get him back to normal human looks is by murdering some people. The book is really a great story and is really one of the things that started barkers career I highly suggest the book. Of course this book was adapted into the movie hellraiser in 1987 and was directed and written by the same guy clive Barker.
