Of course this is author Stephen kings most famous book and probably is one of the most famous books about ghosts period. The book follows a man named jack torrance who gets hired to be the caretaker of the overlook hotel with his wife Wendy torrance and their son Danny torrance. But Danny has a little gift called the shining and a cook named dick hallorann helps him with the shine but danny is shown some horrible things that have happened in the hotel and his worst fears have come true and the ghosts are roaming
